About the event
A guided walk at Dog Woods of Guemes with Donna McCord, as she introduces a permanent art installation. “TELEPHONE OF THE WIND” is located deep within the forest as a special phone booth containing an unconnected, old-fashioned rotary phone. The setting is in a quiet, natural, and secluded forest. This is intended to help individuals process grief by enabling them to hold one-way conversations with deceased loved ones.
Come experience island art… to visit, learn, and socialize. It will be a special guided tour to make a stronger art connection! No registration, no cost. Everyone is welcome.
Also in the 120 acre Dog Wood Park is the “Cedar Berry” installation with blown glass containing the ashes of treasured dogs found in “Inky’s Cathedral”.
