2025 Summer Art Market

CALL FOR ARTISTS


REGISTER by MARCH 30 to get discount pricing and be included in all marketing materials. Open to folks on Guemes Island offering original art or creative crafts.


The 2025 Summer Art Market event continues to evolve as we listen to artists and the community. For the first time, the Summer event will primarily be a “Market” event with art, plant sale and community booths all in an easy walking distance from the ferry. Yes, a few special studios are included. FIVE possible locations including:

The Guemes Island Art (GIA) event planning committee requests that each artist or community group indicate preferred choices of location, but the assignments will be made by GIA to allow for a balance.


WHEN: Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 to 4:00; one week after Memorial Day Weekend.


COST:

  • All donations are reinvested in the marketing or promotion of the event!

o Artist DISCOUNT donation recommendation of $25 to participate for those signing up by March 30. You will then be included in the event promotion materials!

o The recommended artist donation is $40 to participate and applies to all who sign up after March 30.

  • Community organizations may participate without cost. The outdoor location is Site 2 above and allows each group to promote their projects and programs.

  • Plant Sale with donated plants raising funds for a community organization. Please consider donating garden items including tomatoes, ferns, flowers and more! Contact “smithbonita04@gmail.com” to donate.

  • Event Sponsors are encouraged to join us in making this special day available and increasing community visibility.

  • Fee reduction available upon request to make sure everyone can be included.

  • Additional donations are appreciated!


EQUIPMENT:

  • Tables are available for artists and craftspeople at most locations. A few GICCA

    tents are available.

  • Community groups should plan to bring a table and tent for weather protection

    (hopefully sun). Some tables will be available but not confirmed until closer to the event.


APPLICATIONS and DEADLINES:

  • March 1 “Call For Artist” rolls out and registration begins.

  • Submit application materials by March 30, 2025. This allows your information to

    be included in our marketing, provides you with discount pricing, and helps

    confirm your booth location.

  • Download Application form below.



  • May 1 is when we roll out the public information on the event!

  • May 31 is the event with setup on May 30 and cleanup late afternoon when the

    event ends.

  • Stay tuned for information on an evening music event at the Guemes General

    Store.


    Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6, 2025 for the Winter Studio Tour and Art Markets which will be packed with individual studios and three group markets.
